Dr. Lawrence Mikkelson, D.C.

Dr. Mikkelson is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was an accomplished athlete at Colerain High School and attended Miami University (Ohio) on a wrestling scholarship. After receiving his undergraduate degree he attended Life University in Marietta Georgia where he graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Doctor of Chiropractic. He originally joined Rettay Chiropractic in 1997 and has also practiced in Fairfield, Ohio. In 2009, he relocated Rettay Chiropractic to its current location on SR 18 next to Healthy Alternatives Food Store.
Dr. Mikkelson is a firm believer in the idea that lifestyle and the daily decisions we make determine our health, productivity, and happiness. He advocates exercise, proper nutrition, stress reduction, and other forms of preventative care. He sees chiropractic care as more effective, less invasive, and a faster way to treat many conditions involving the neck, back, and entire nervous system.
Lawrence Mikkelson is married to Jackie Rettay Mikkelson and they have two children, Danielle and Andrew. Dr. Mikkelson is very active in his community outside of his practice. He is a wrestling coach at Ryle High School in Union, Kentucky. He is also on the medical advisory committee and on the board of overseers at the Redwood Rehabilitation Center. He serves as the District V director for the Kentucky Board of Chiropractors and secretary for the Southwest Ohio Wrestling Coaches Association. In 2006, he retired from the military with 23 years of active and reserve service. In his free time, he enjoys golf, exercise, and family activities.

Dr. Brad Hartung, D. C.
Dr. Brad Hartung joined Rettay Chiropractic a little over a year ago and is loving it. He brings to the team a new enthusiasm for chiropractic. Dr. Brad is trained in several of the most popular chiropractic techniques as well as many rehabilitation techniques including Graston and Kinesio Taping with athletes that compete at every level. Dr. Brad uses a gentle touch when treating children and pregnant women and has been trained in the Webster Technique. So weather you are 9 days old or 90+ years old Dr. Brad is ready to meet you and help you with any of your health concerns.
Dr. Brad is a a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic West where he graduated with several honors including: The Clinical Excellence Award, The Virgil Strang Philosophy Award, and The Student Fellowship Award, for his outstanding contribution to his school, community, and his patients. Dr. Brad continues to serve his community in the Florence Rotary Club, and as the Vice President of the local chapter of the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors.
Dr. Brad is originally from San Jose, California. Often, he is asked what brought him to Kentucky, the answer is that Northern Kentucky is a great place to raise a family and it is one of the most beautiful places in the country! He and his wife have three young children Holly, Oscar, and Ivy. They are excited to be raising their family in Northern Kentucky.

With his free time, Dr. Brad enjoys playing Disc Golf, fishing, hunting, reading, playing with his children, and going on dates with his wife.
